Projects

Rivershed only works on projects that meet our Social Purpose Corporation environmental and social values and a portion of our bottom line is reinvested in the communities and environments where we work.

Rivershed tracks and offsets more than 100% of any carbon emissions generated during the project and reinvests carbon conservation dollars in the region where each project occurs.

EXPLORE OUR PROJECTS

Lower White River Conservation Assessment

In cooperation with Underwood Conservation District, Rivershed SPC are in development of an assessment report to be used in conservation action detailing land uses, conservation attributes, and community perspectives of project area along White Salmon River.

Western Cascade Post-Fire Case Studies and Management Recommendations

Working closely with communities in the Pacific Northwest, the Rivershed team will be crafting case studies with a focus on lessons learned, transferable solutions, and focus on potential positive outcomes of pre-fire readiness planning.

The team are developing a series of recommendations for post-fire readiness that can be included in Community Wildfire Protection Plans. These recommendations should focus on implementable solutions to prepare a community for recovery following a severe wildfire, especially a fire in a watershed upstream of critical infrastructure.

This project is being completed in partnership with Life with Fire. Check out their podcast exploring the critical role fire plays in our forests, lands, and communities. Listen to the podcast here!

Cuenca Los Ojos GIS Mapping Project

Supporting Cuenca Los Ojos staff, the Rivershed team is helping develop a geospatial database to highlight priorities and document projects for management of their 200,000 acres and to communicate with the public and project partners in NE Mexico.

Cascade Wolverine Project and Rivershed SPC Mapping Gulo

Rivershed SPC will work with Cascade Wolverine Project to develop an ArcGIS Online map platform to allow staff access to all of the data collected by the community. Furthermore, this data can be organized and presented to a broader public audience to communicate areas critical for conservation and demonstrate relative abundance of wolverines in the North Cascades.
